Started in 1999, the John Weaver Classic or "JWC" was began as way for me to play at least one volleyball tournament a year with my brother.  At that time we were not living within close proximity of one another.  In the summer of 2004 we both found ourselves living in the "Emerald City" of Seattle, WA.  In celebration of this change we held an invitational event in the place of the "JWC" using a "King of the Beach" format to foster a fun-filled atmosphere. Event T-shirts were designed and special momentos created for the event.  All of the profits from the event were used to buy small prizes for the champs with the remaining proceeds donated to a local charity.
